What does 20 gauge steel mean on a casket?

Gauge measures the thickness of the steel, and a lower number means thicker metal. A 20 gauge casket is the most widely chosen steel option in the United States, offering solid protection and a finished appearance at a more accessible price than heavier gauges.

What is a crepe interior?

Crepe is a soft fabric with a lightly textured, gently gathered surface. It is a traditional interior choice because it drapes softly and gives the interior a calm, comfortable look under the lighting used at a service.

What color is the Cordova casket?

It is a pristine white finish accented with gold highlights, paired with a soft white crepe interior. The white is clean and even rather than cream or off white.

Where does the gold appear on the Cordova?

The gold is in the accents rather than the body: the handle hardware and a fine line that follows the edge of the lid. The casket reads as a white casket with gold detailing, not a gold one.

How does the Cordova differ from the Heritage White casket?

Both are white with a white interior. The Cordova carries gold accents and gold hardware, while the Heritage White uses silver toned hardware. Choose between them on which metal you prefer.

How much does the Cordova weigh?

It weighs about 180 pounds empty. That is a normal weight for a 20 gauge steel casket and is typically carried by six pallbearers, which is worth mentioning to your funeral director when they plan the service.

Does it arrive exactly as shown?

It ships exactly as pictured, with the same finish, interior fabric and hardware. This is a standard catalog casket rather than a made to order one, so what you see on this page is what arrives.
