Very pleased with the awesome level of care , concern and service received from Matthew at Sky Caskets. With this not being the traditional way for me and my family of getting the casket I was very skeptical in the beginning. But after speaking with Matthew , I felt very at ease that I was doing the right thing. Thank you so much and I'm hope that you all will be around for any future needs.... Memphis, TN

When this company takes an order from anybody they do it like everyone is number one priority. The excellent customer service and courtesy politeness amazing. Just wonderful quality of people that work there is just amazing. They took my order in record time. Made sure everything was right and just cared like I was their only customer. Their quality is amazing and everything is top notch with them. I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

Aug 29, 2022 I called Sky Caskets after doing a little back ground check on their company and I was very impressed with the service I received. My mother pasted and within a very short time I had picked out the casket and it was delivered a day ahead of schedule right to the funeral home as promised. Cost half as much as it would have if I had ordered it through the funeral home. The owner spoke to me personally and promised it would arrive, and it did without me having to worry. I would absolutely use them again and encourage anyone who needs such a service to contact them as well. Lexington , KY

FAQs: Empire Blue Steel Casket (Upgrade from Orion)

What does 20 gauge steel mean on a casket?
Gauge measures the thickness of the steel, and a lower number means thicker metal. A 20 gauge casket is the most widely chosen steel option in the United States, offering solid protection and a finished appearance at a more accessible price than heavier gauges.
Crepe is a soft fabric with a lightly textured, gently gathered surface. It is a traditional interior choice because it drapes softly and gives the interior a calm, comfortable look under the lighting used at a service.
It is a light blue finish, noticeably paler than the navy and indigo options in the range. The interior is a blue crepe, so the color runs through the casket rather than stopping at the shell.
They are in the same family but not identical. The exterior is a light blue and the interior crepe is a soft blue, so the two sit close together rather than contrasting.
It is the lightest of them. The Cobalt and Orion Blue are dark navy, and the Orion Indigo is a deep indigo. If you want a blue that reads soft rather than dark, this is the one.
It weighs about 180 pounds empty. That is a normal weight for a 20 gauge steel casket and is typically carried by six pallbearers, which is worth mentioning to your funeral director when they plan the service.
It ships exactly as pictured, with the same finish, interior fabric and hardware. This is a standard catalog casket rather than a made to order one, so what you see on this page is what arrives.
