What does 20 gauge steel mean on a casket?

Gauge measures the thickness of the steel, and a lower number means thicker metal. A 20 gauge casket is the most widely chosen steel option in the United States, offering solid protection and a finished appearance at a more accessible price than heavier gauges.

What is a crepe interior?

Crepe is a soft fabric with a lightly textured, gently gathered surface. It is a traditional interior choice because it drapes softly and gives the interior a calm, comfortable look under the lighting used at a service.

Is the Orion Blush a pink casket?

Not on the outside. The Orion Blush has a pristine white exterior, and the pink is the soft pink crepe interior. Families often choose it when they want white on the outside with a gentler, warmer color visible when the lid is open.

What does the white finish look like in person?

It is a clean white with subtle white highlights rather than a flat, plain white, so the shape of the lid and body still reads clearly under the lighting at a service.

Who tends to choose the Orion Blush?

It suits families who want something soft and understated rather than bold. The white and pink pairing is a common choice for a mother, a grandmother or a daughter, though nothing about it is limited to one kind of service.

How much does the Orion Blush weigh?

It weighs about 160 pounds empty. That is a normal weight for a 20 gauge steel casket and is typically carried by six pallbearers, which is worth mentioning to your funeral director when they plan the service.

Will the interior color be exactly the pink shown here?

It ships exactly as pictured, with the same finish, interior fabric and hardware. This is a standard catalog casket rather than a made to order one, so what you see on this page is what arrives.
